other half :)

I don’t like idolising people. I think we should all grow as ourselves, and not want to try to be like someone else. However, I do believe in taking the good out of some people and practise it in your own self.

One woman I look up to is my MOTHER. A great woman, with natural beauty, a good soul that overflows with kindness, and only good words for others. Never in my life have I heard her gossip or talk bad about anyone, and to see that in a woman of her age in her community is rare.

Not one to express affection physically in public, she is a shy and secret lover. Her love for you is hidden, but as strong as steel. She is a perfectionist, embodying a domestic goddess. She is clean, groomed, and neat, which is so important in all of us females. I know that is one of first things my dad loves in her. Maybe that is why I believe that neatness and beauty from within is what truly attracts men.

When I’m down, she comes down with me. When I’m up, she goes up with me. When I get hurt, she gets angry for me. When I laugh, she smiles for me. She taught me to be strong, but reminds me that when I get married, to listen to my man (provided he’s a good leader, of course, like my dad). She has stood by my dad through thick and thin, followed him all over the world. For all the memories they’ve had together, the hardship and appreciation for one another has definitely made their 30-year marriage stonger than ever.
She keeps me grounded, and never lets me forget where I came from : God. Islam preaches that heaven is under your mother’s feet. Love her, treasure her, respect her, and you’ll be one step closer to heaven.

There’s something magical about hearing your mother’s voice.
Even a simple “How is my daughter today?” can make the world seem a lot brighter.

I love you Ibu . I hope you never find this notes , but it doesn’t matter anyway. I know you know that I love you, and I hope I can be half the woman you are.

happy birthday to my ibu . the queen of my heart :)
